Portio is an espresso shot tracking and dial-in app for iOS and Android. It helps you log every shot with dose, yield, time, and tasting notes — then surfaces patterns so you can consistently make better espresso. Think of it as a digital coffee journal combined with a brewing assistant.

Portio is available on iOS (iPhone and iPad) and Android. You can download it free from the App Store or Google Play.

Most of Portio works completely offline. Your shot logs, bean library, and all your data are stored locally on your device. An internet connection is only needed for features like AI-powered label scanning or account syncing.

Portio currently supports the Bookoo smart scale via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). Support for additional scales is planned for future updates. If you own a different scale and would like to see it supported, let us know.

Turn on your scale and make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone. Open Portio and go to Settings → Scale. Tap "Connect Scale" and Portio will automatically scan for and pair with a compatible Bookoo scale. Once paired, it reconnects automatically the next time you open the app.

Yes! While Portio is built primarily for espresso, you can log shots from any brew method. The equipment library supports a wide range of brewers including V60, AeroPress, Moka Pot, Chemex, French Press, and more.

Your data is stored on your device. We recommend enabling your device's automatic backup (iCloud on iOS, Google Backup on Android) to protect your shot history. A dedicated cloud sync feature is on our roadmap.

The free version of Portio gives you:

Portio Pro is available as a monthly or annual subscription. Pricing is shown in the app based on your region. Annual subscribers save significantly compared to monthly billing. Prices may vary by country and are subject to change.

Yes — Portio Pro includes a free trial so you can explore all Pro features before being charged. Trial length is shown during the subscription flow in the app. No payment is taken until the trial ends.

Yes, you can cancel at any time. Subscriptions are managed by the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android), not directly by Portio. To cancel:

• iOS: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → Portio
• Android: Google Play → Subscriptions → Portio

You'll retain Pro access until the end of your current billing period.

Your shot history and all logged data remain on your device. You'll return to the free tier limits — for example, you won't be able to add new beans beyond the free limit, but existing entries are not deleted. Resubscribing restores full Pro access immediately.

Go to Settings → Subscription inside the app and tap "Restore Purchases". This will re-link any active subscription tied to your App Store or Google Play account. If you're still having trouble, contact support.
